Does anybody know how to findout whether he or she is going through a squid proxy. or how to test if a traffic from the Mikrotik router is really going through the Squid proxy
Try downloading a large file from a site known to be slow, then you have to get the file out of your local cache on the pc downloading this file, (or move to another machine) then download file again and see if you get it at full LAN speed. Depending on how your squid server is setup you could check your logs to see traffic. I used webmin to setup my proxy so I also have calamaris and sarg running which tell me a lot about whats going on.
