The product classification is really thoughtful.

8P 16P 24P 48P Among these 4 types, why is the 16-port product so big and different? Your product designers’ concepts are really special. Can you make something acceptable to ordinary users? Or am I not finding the right product? grateful,

What do you need ? If you need 16 port desktop switch you have one in CRS series.

Mikrotik doesn’t really do any market research or product segment research - thats why there is no “regular”/“usual” models. They build the product around the chips basically.

What is the problem?

Need. 1U 16-port POE switch

Just get this one, and don’t use the extra ports: https://mikrotik.com/product/crs328_24p_4s_rm
Size would be the same anyway, and price is already very good.

What is wrong with a 24? HPE for example has many, many nearly identical switches with very small differences between them, what is the point? Could reduce their overwhelming number of models and not lose anything.

16 ports and 24 port switches are both 1U, take/use the 24 and have room for future growth. Same power usage, same footprint.
