The Public IP in the router is different than the "What is my IP" in Browser

Hi Friends,
Recently I realized that the IP I have in the DHCP client retrieved to the Ether1 which is connected to a modem has a different Public IP than when I go to the browser and Type what is my IP

This problem causes that I cannot see the CCTV system I have at home. Because I had dstnat rules applied to have access to my cameras with my public IP.
What would you do in this case to solve the problem so I can have access to my cameras and also my nas as before?

Set your modem into transparent bridging mode if possible. Otherwise contact your provider.

What is your IP on dhcp-client? If it’s in range of 10.0.0.0/8, 100.64.0.0/10, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16, then you’re behind NAT of your provider and you need to buy a static IP service.

I came here with the exact same problem. I know the IP address issued by my ISP isn’t static but i don’t understand why that would cause them to be different. (Previous linksys had no issue with this but it sucked otherwise. )

I’m on fiber direct from my utility box. There’s literally a cat6 cable that comes off my utility meter and goes to my router, with no other hardware in between. I’ve reset my router to default configuration and no joy.

Unfortunately, you erased the wrong portion of the addresses.
The first two octets are important for us to determine your problem.

You are being “Double NATted” by your service provider, some ISP’s does this, can’t recall reasons

Sorry all i meant to demonstrate was that they’re different.

I called my ISP. They confirmed that i was placed behind a NAT. I requested a static IP but they only do that for business accounts. However, they were able to give me a non-NAT’d address. All is well now. Thanks for the assistance!
