Topology Question

Hey all, how's it going? I've tried everything I can think of and I'm now stuck so I decided to ask for help. This is what I'm trying to do in detail...

I'm trying to setup a MikroTik hotspot - just a general basic hotspot. My problem comes in with the topology of the network itself. I'm running it off of an existing Access Point [Linksys WRT54GSv7.2] and the wireless card in the system itself is a Cisco Aironet 450. I have two physical Ethernet cards in the machine however one is being used as the configuration port [For web/winbox access] however if needed I can get rid of that.

I want to know how exactly I should set it up.

The above topology is what I tried to use originally meaning: From Internet to Switch from switch to router and router to internet [ether2] on the machine. I was able to associate the wireless card with the AP but after that I'm able to do nothing. I wasn't sure if that was right so I've also tried:

Internet to Router
Router to Switch
Switch to Ether2

Internet to Switch
Switch to Router
Switch to Box

Internet to Box
Box[Used the 'config' port] router internet port

And none of them have worked. I'm not sure if I'm not getting valid IP addresses [I'm using cable internet so that may be a problem; I can try it elsewhere tomorrow], if my topology is wrong, if my AP just isn't compatible, the wireless card in my RouterOS just doesn't like me, or what.

Please please help me!!

can you write here your network Ips.??

regards,
koko

Do you have a DHCP - Server in your Netwok, providing IP-Adresses and Gateway-Information?
Did you check network-connectivity of all your equipment from router to Access Point?
You have to find out what part of your net is not working correctly
