I am new to scripting, and I have the following question. I have PCC running with multiple gateways, and it is running smoothly. What I want to do, is check each line if its up or not, and then disable the interface if it is not active. What I was thinking is using traceroute, and counting the number of hops. If the hops exceed more than 4, doesn’t really matter if the destination is reached, theoretically it means my line is up.
I can’t seem to capture the result from the amount of hops. Any ideas ? Also, other suggestions are welcome, thanks for the help !!
