Tracert over max hops

I have 2 truenas servers. Primary and backup. Replication task failed on network timeout errors.

After adding crs317, truenas backup was moved to crs317. Replication tasks starts failing on timeout errors. it works when connected on 1gbe port on aruba1930 switch.

Ping does not work from primary to backup server. I have a PC connected to crs317 and it can access all other devices on the network.. But there is a few machines where tracert takes over max 30 hops. tracert to the rest works as normal.

tracert from PC to backup trunas reported over 30 hops. This does not make sense as both are on the same crs317 switch. crs317 is running on swos. Since tracert do not list out all the touchpoints, I cant tell when traffic is being routed.

pfsense → aruba1930 (sfp+ uplink) →unfi16

And .... ?
No config, no network diagram, no STP configuration (my guess it is the culprit), no info of interaction with other devices ... time for crystall ball
