I have a main Internet connection and a backup connection. My main connection is a T1 and my backup is a cable modem connection. I have maybe used the cable modem 3 times since I’ve had it. What I’d like to do is set my transparent web proxy to pull data over the cable modem during peak hours via equal-cost gateway routing so I get a theoretical total of 4.5 mbps and get some use of my useless cable modem. Then after those hours I’d like to turn it off and maybe use traffic watch to turn it back on during periods of heavy usage.
Problem is - if I add another default route ALL my traffic goes out my cable modem. I only want the web proxy itself to access the cable modem.
Ideas?
