Hello, I have looked everywhere but cannot find the info so if somebody knows could they tell me or send me to where the information is please.
So I have setup a home network and have setup dhcp and assigned static ip addresses to several mac addresses.
The problem is that I set a static ip address to a phone that keeps changing its mac address.
I did this twice for the same phone before realizing.
Now however I don’t know how to release the ip addresses associated with the fake macs.
I cant find a list of static addresses anywhere so that I can unbind the ip - mac address.
please help
thank you
Hi,
so, you have added static lease in the dhcp-server, right? Then remove unneded static lease in the same place where you have added them.
As far as I know, all devices which use random MAC addresses can have this overridden and the actual MAC used on a per-network basis (i.e. on your network and no-one else’s). For your own network this is safe.
Thank you guys for taking the time to respond
