update gateway for interface dynamically

Hi

I need to update a gateway for a particular interface from a adsl destination ip (which changes on each connect) when the adsl connects/reconnects. I really have no idea where to start but know scripting is the only way .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run script that is checking gateways address and adsl destination ip, if addresses ar not the same, change gateway to new adsl IP.

dhcp from your provider ?

yes dhcp is assigned from provider.

i may be missing something, but can’t you just turn on ‘use default gateway’ on your dhcp-client ?
