Upgrade (GoingSoft-)branded CCR1009 from ROS 6(.49) to 7?

Hi!

We have two CCR1009-8G-1S-1+ running a ROS 6 branded by GoingSoft. After upgrading one of the devices to 7.21.4 we realised that many options in Winbox are missing, like there is no Interfaces, no System, … however via SSH all commands are available in the CLI fortunately.

Unfortunately downgrading RouterOS back to 6.49 doesn’t work, we are stuck on 7.21.4 with the limited menu in the Winbox.

How can we upgrade/reset/flash the branded CCRs to a fully working 7.21.4 and if possible a stock firmware from MikroTik instead of the branded firmware? Is Netinstall the way to go? We don’t want to brick the CCRs.

Here is the output of /system/resource showing the branding by GoingSoft:

/system/resource> print

Thank you.

It's very difficult to brick any Mikrotik Device.
So what I think you should do is to first try to contact GoingSoft if that company exist now.
And then if that company not exist any more you could try with the netinstall.

And if you are fluent on Linux you should absolute use the netinstall-cli command, if you search in this forum for netinstall lots of problems comes from netinstall (windows version).

simply delete the skins inside /skins directory....
