upgrading this router from 2.8.19 to beta13 killed a 66Mbps TCP to 6Mbps, need to find out why, maybe need to reset the wireless configs.
Any idea why upgrading the router killed the bandwidth?
It is a 5GHz test link in the lab, I upgraded the “station WDS” end, the AP is 2.8.19. Both running Nstreme, bridged using WDS.
Was working fine until the upgrade. It has good signal levels -28/-33dB both ends.
I could change the other end too, but would appreciate some feedback if anyone else spotted this
Just tested such configuration and it is working fine. Maybe you have some specific wireless configuration. You could send the support output files from both routers to support@mikrotik.com
We will check where could be the problem.
I have the beta fix package, and it’s still not fixed the problem it seems.
With Nstreme enabled I get 6Mbps, turning it off I get 50+Mbps
CPU is 600MHz Pentium M one end, AMD 1.1GHz the other
I’ll send in the supout files just now.
Really looking forward to getting this beta working - everything else is great
OK after a lot of testing, various HW platforms (1GHz and 600MHz CPUs)and various versions of beta and non-beta including the latest, with Atheros 5211 radio cards in turbo and non-turbo mode the conclusions are:
Nstreme and 2.9Beta do not work together properly. I only get 9Mbps
With Nstreme turned off, 2.9beta works OK - 30+Mbps
with it on, I only get 9Mbps throughput
With 2.8.26, I get 72Mbps throughput in turbo mode with Nstreme on. No problems at all.
I’ve described this before, submitted sup-output files and the response was that the situation could not be repeated.
Anyone else seen this or got any ideas?
