USB or Serial Thermometers

I would like to be able to monitor air temperature and battery temperature.

Is anyone using a USB thermometer or a a serial thermometer with their MikroTik?

The Papouch solution looks good but it costs over $100 to ship them from Europe. http://www.papouch.com/en/shop/product/tm-routerboard-thermometer-mikrotik/

I would very much appreciate any suggestions.

I use the EL-2 temp and humidity sensors. These require a PC for setup and data download.
