I’ve installed a MT router instead if a Sophos UTM (not very pleased with the Sophos devices). After installing and setting it up I notice that streaming video (esp. MKV’s) from a Synology NAS to an Apple TV is sluggish and stops after several minutes of playing time (not buffering, just stopping all together). I didn’t have those problems with the Sophos installed.
It probably has something to do with the network setup and used bandwith. But how can I can troubleshoot that? I’m not seeing anything in the MT logs that’s strange. What I also notice is that the connection from the NAS for instance my mac suddenly drops out.
