Vlan Implementation from a bridge network

Hi All,

Just need your input…

I don’t have any trunks or vlans now but I want to implement it…

  1. Say If I start using vlan and since this is my first vlan would all my ports that is bridge automatically goes to vlan 0?
  2. If there a way like to include all traffic to pass trough the trunk both tagged and untagged? ( AFAIR in cisco if we mark it as trunk w/o specifying it will automatically include it in trunk )
  3. Can I do the pppoe & hotspot bridge in 1 vlan?

Basically I have 1 Router switch and want to extend my pppoe& hotspot bridge to that switch ( but only a number of ports ) and I also have other traffic that needs to pass trough the trunk but will send it to vlan access ports…

Start by reading this topic. Meanwhile think about your desired network topology and how it fits possible configurations …
