Hi ..
i am planning to use 2 rb750 routers to create a vpn PPTP between a radio studio and remote location studio to stream audio with two ipcodecs
i have a static IP at the studio but at the remote studio location whe are behind a router/firewall with dyn IP
i have setup a vps server on the studio RB750 and i can connect with a laptop to it and can connect to the IP codec. but i cannot get the other RB750 to work so that i can “see” the ipcodec from the lan. it connects but that is it …
IPcodec(port2) ↔ RB750(port1-wan) ↔ cablemodem<—>internet ↔ unknownrouter ↔ RB750(port1-wan) ↔ ipcodec
iprange are default on both RB750..
i have tried several WIKI pages but no luck ..
any one can over some help …???
regards Joost .
Are you using the same LAN range at both ends? That could be an issue.
It isn’t clear how the devices on the remote studio LAN are configured - obviously their traffic needs to be directed towards the PPTP client for the relevant IP range.
hi ..
is have setup the ip ranges as followed ..
studio : 192.168.2.1 router => directly connected to cable modem via WAN port(1) 62.xxx.xxx.xxx
location : 192.168.3.1 router => WAN port(1) connected to a router/modem ip adress : 192.168.1.10
service : any
default-encryption
local adress : 192.168.2.1
remote adress : 192.168.4.1
it connects but i can not ping 192.168.2.1
i have used this to setup the server :http://networkingforintegrators.com/2012/08/how-to-vpn/
no luck so far .. )-:
