I followed this guide to try and setup a vpn and am having problems getting it to work.

I have a Mikrotik on both ends of the vpn. The installed SA’s never show up and i am not able to send traffic between the two locations.
Any help for a Mikrotek noob would be appreciated.
Also any info i need to supply just ask.
I used Greg Sowell’s examples to setup tunnels between Mikrotiks.

I can ping the router’s LAN IPs but not any PC on the LAN at the opposite end of the tunnel, still working on that.
I also tried setting up one RB as a client to the other and still have the same problem, which does not make sense to me because I can use L2TP on my Win 8 laptop and see local IPs through the VPN.
i think you need to setup your routes correctly. and let the pc know which is the gateway and how to route the ips in and out of the network
