VXLAN: Hardware offload support for IPv6 VTEPs?

Hi,

we are running a proxmox cluster with three hosts connected to two CRS520-4XS-16XQ switches. These are connected to other parts of the network, acting as upstream routers.

Proxmox is configured with BGP EVPN networking, which works well between the hosts. We have added BGP controllers to each node for creating a BGP session to the mikrotik switches. This works well, and the mikrotik switches receive the instances address via BGP.

Nonetheless I would like to get rid of the extra BGP configuration, and use the mikrotiks directly as peer in the EVPN network. The BGP implementation on the switches support EVPN, but the documentation states that hardware offloading does not support IPv6 VTEPs ( VXLAN - RouterOS - MikroTik Documentation ).

Since we are running IPv6 only this seems to be a show stopper. Are there plans to extend the hardware offload capabilities in the (near) future?
