So, im trying to configure a W60G Wireless Wire pair on an existing network.
i was able to set one unit to DHCP from the network's router, but the other unit seems to always switch back to the static ip whenever i click on Apply. this happens both with WinBox and if i log in with a browser.
No idea what could be wrong in your case, but - strictly speaking - a "wireless wire" doesn't actually need to have an IP at all (of course then access will be only possible via Winbox/MAC) in most cases.
And - but of course it depends - such devices are better set with static IP's, possibly on another subnet from the main used one or - better - on a dedicated management VLAN.
The only use in practice of the IP's of those two devices is to change their settings via Web, SSH or Winbox/IP, Winbox/MAC should be anyway properly configured and working, as you never know.
In normal operation such a set of device behaves (should behave) as a "dumb" switch or - as I see it - as a set of "media converters", converting from ethernet to wireless link and from wireless link to ethernet.
There is a recent thread talking of the matter (JFYI), here: SXTsq 5 ax PTP bridge with multiple VLANs, is my configuration correct?
It is possible (but it would be a rare case) that the storage on one of the two units has become (for whatever reasons) "read only".
Or it could be that you have some scripts running that revert the change, no way to know.
Post the configuration of both devices, instructions here:
