I offently use the WDS mode on my networks to make chains of access points. I’ve seen on the forum that many users have disconnections like I have. Link stay disconnected on one router for 3 secs to more than 5 minutes, and then AP synchronised again without any user action…
I’ve made a comparative test with 2 routers equiped with a routerboard 14 and 4 wireless cards from differents brands.
Winstrom CM9 ----> Winstrom CM9, 2412 Mhz, WDS, SSID Winstrom
Compex WLM54G ----> Compex WLM54G, 2412 Mhz, WDS, SSID WLM
Compex WLM54AG ----> Compex WLM54AG, 2412 Mhz, WDS SSID WLMA
RouterBoard R52 ----> RouterBoard R52, 2412 Mhz, WDS, SSID R52
R52 WDS link is now running for 2 days without any disconnection, why compex and Winstrom are disconnecting, no beacons, deauth, and running again ?
Why with Ikarus OS Winstrom and Compex WDS links are stable ?
