New bug has just crept up.
I have a caching drive with about 14Gb of cache, and the proxy has slowed down to a halt.
All customers complaining, an investigation was done.
Bypassing the mikrotik web-proxy solved it.
A reboot of the Mikrotik also does the trick for a little while…
Also quite a few other bugs hasnt been resolved from ±3.13 days still!

lol, now in 3.20 the problem magically disappears…

bugs are still in 3.20 , upon restart web-proxy freezes . there is ping but no internet. untill you go to settings , stop web-proxy and then start it again.
Please we need help in our case. its not practical to always stop and start the mikrotik http proxy to make it work upon restart.
when will be the next mikrotik version ?? 3.21 ?
If it is running on x86, could you please run Win32 and test 1.RAM+CPU with “StressPrime 2004 Orthos” 2. Whole system with other tests… As problems may be in the particular system being used, in the hardware and/or compatibility between parts.
also, notice, that proxy is rebuilding cache before it starts to work.
After Further Investigation at the time it was revealed that although we weir indeed having serious problems that slowed proxy down to a halt.
This made us restart the machine from time to time and then another issue presented that the proxy never loaded…
Well that issue was due to it checking the cache and the cache size being very large.
Hence it took web-proxy a while to start-up.
Other problem did however majickly disappear with no trace anywhere about the changes at the time.

Enable Web Proxy, turn off Serialized Connections, take a note of the Port used, I guess you use NAT otherwise you wouldn’t ask this question, so, you need to make a NAT rule that is in chain dst-nat and does a redirect of all tcp connections comming from your local interface and from your client’s IPs to dst-port 80 to the port of the Web Proxy.
