I have RB951G-2HnD with the latest RouterOS v6.43.2 installed. When I apply Quick Set “WISP IP” Bridge Mode and I set static IP to something else than 192.168.88.1, the WebFig at the new address is no more accessible, even though I can ping it. (I have manually set correct IP address on my network card.) I’m connected by wire to the port 2.
I can still access the router using WinBox connecting to the MAC address. The Quick Set configuration seems to work properly.
I think the WebFig should still work, or am I wrong?
Thank you for the response.
I’m new to MikroTik, so I suggest the Quick Set should set up the device to a pre-defined well-tested configuration which can be later modified (now I need a simple WLAN-LAN bridge, so I have disabled the DHCP server and so on). The Quick Set makes the device inaccessible. I expect the wizard should apply the new IP wherever needed. I experience the same issue with a little mAP 2nD router.
I believe this is linked to bridge mode. In a bridge mode the router itself has no own IP address and can not be reached via an IP address (it is a bridge).
It can only be accessed via Mac address in Winbox, but not anymore via http (browser)
Simplest way to change that, if you want to address the Mikrotik box as a “device”/ router, is to put it into router mode.
