What does "1 Nss & 2 Nss" represent ?

Hey guys,

Sorry to disturb but i really couldn’t figure out what’s the meaning of “1 Nss & 2 Nss” from radio module brochures, the data rates part, 802.11n. I search the internet as well as the mikrotik forum, i found that there was a guy who had the same question but did not get the answer , So here i am posting it again and hopefully someone can help me to understand it. Thanks

Is it something like , 1 chains, 2 chains, 3 chains ? like the number of the antennas are using ?

Yes, it’s (N)umber of (s)patial (s)treams, i.e. RF chains.

This can correlate to the number of antennas, but multiple-polarization multiple-feed antennas are common now, so it often won’t.
