What is the meaning of NTH?

Dear all,
I couldn’t understand the meaning of NTH term and how can i use it for load balancing.
Could anybody help me?
I want a document about it that describe clearly.

“nth” should be understood like “second, third, fourth, sixth, seventh” one of those. it means that using this setting, you filter out every “seventh” packet (for example) and decide what to do with it.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I have two internet connections.i want to send 2/3 of my lan tarffic from one of these connection and send 1/3 of these traffic from another connection.
Can I do it with nth?
I want another feature.
I want to if one of these links fail,total traffic send from active connection.
