Hi, This might be a super amateur question, but where in the world are the NEW firmware updates for anything?, I can only find up to version 5.14, but I’m running devices that got v5.4 and v5.6 on it, so I’m sooooooooooo lost right now.
and another question is: my laptop takes forever to get a IP from the DHCP server from a RB750GL unit, is that normal?
5.14 is the most current version.

No DHCP is normally pretty quick. Could it be you local machine? Do other machines have this problem?
5.14 is higher than 5 in this instance. Last is 5.14 although there is a lik to 5.15 beta in one of the threads

and for the DHCP thing, it works super fast in line of sight, but as soon as the signal have to face layers of cement floors, it tends to be very unstable.
Your signal is probably too weak. You might want to look at installing another AP or repeater.
the thing is, I’ve got 3 sectors on top of a 6th story apartment building, and I’m on the 4th floor right beneath the tower, so me getting signal and some connectivity is some miracle.
