Would be cool if you could implement the WIMAX protocol in the 5,4 license-free area! Like Proxim do! Are the any efforts to do so?

IMHO It all boils down to radio cards, both for base station and CPE.
No cards, no WIMAX in MT.
All the other players are making integrated products (e.g. Proxim CPE, Intel “Rosedale” chipset)
Anyone know any better, please enlighten …
With Intel backing, and most telecom operators either evaluated or committing to trials, it is “an inevitability” and the MT guys will need to have a solution one way or another I think
