Winbox 3.18 Downloading Descriptors

Hi

We have multiple Mikrotik routers that we manage on the WAN interface - the port is open for us to connect to Winbox, and the firewall is configured for only our IP Address.

We have been using WinBox 3.12 to complete this, as the newer version hang up on Downloading Descriptors when connecting.

However, the current version of WinBox no longer allows 3.12 to connect, and requires that we use a newer version… however we don’t have a newer version that works.

Im sure others must of had this, and have managed to over come it?

Cheers

hi
in new version WinBox use encryption, maybe you problem MTU? calculate MSS, or clear df bit.

Hello there! I am having the same problem of “Downloading Descriptors” error in Winbox 3.18 and unable to access the Mikrotik routers on the network. Any help please to fix this strange Winbox problem. Thanks.

Same problem here, but only with two customer routers :frowning:
In the log I see the correct login:
11:54:57 system, info, account user admin logged in from 2.2.2.1 via winbox
11:55:01 system, info, account user admin logged out from 2.2.2.1 via winbo

Maybe the problem is related to this?
