Is there any way to add winbox3 to the Dude tools.
Tried this and it fails to login in with username error
“c:\Program Files (x86)\winbox3.exe”
[Device.FirstAddress] [Device.UserName] [Device.Password]

I am using exactly the same for Dude and it works.
I have added it when on beta3 and just saved the rc1 .exe over it.
I was not using it then, because of the many bugs on beta3, but now it is fully usable.
The only problem is that sometimes by habit I click on the old winbox because it can’t be disabled in Dude since it is builtin.
Potential bug :
Inline comments is selected. It is used everywhere I checked, but when I go to Wireless → Access list it is not working.
I have to deselect and select inline comments again for it to work. It works until I close the winbox. If I reopen it I have to perform the same steps.
Yes i want also the same. When i press inline button i want all tabs to have inline and not just current one. And i want to be saved also when i login again
Just Upgraded to Winbox 3.0rc2.. ![]()
Seems to have all the lockups I was experiencing fixed as far as I can tell..
The “Torch” environment is NOT being saved from one session to another. Can this be fixed ?
Is it possible to be able to select more than one column item at a time? That would speed things up a lot.
Winbox 3.0rc2 ??? where is that?
Simple… From within Winbox, select “Tools”, then “Check For Updates”…

already tried that. no new version says. i have 3.0rc1.
Hello Normis,
I did not click the save again, the window session just does not save, the router starts with blank screen and also when u are connected if u click files / or interfaces, it exits.
Otherwise its a great improvement, I would love to use it but the this unexpected exit is a killer, hoping a fix soon.
please fix inline comments to be globally saved in current session. everytime i logout and login to winbox some tabs (inline) are not saved and i have to press the button again.

Winbox v3.0rc2 connected to RB133 running RouterOS 5.26 has the following bug on viewing any wireless interface:

The problem doesn’t occur with RouterOS 6.25.
Other bug I found is with routing filters. Winbox 2 shows them rightly, but v3.0rc2 is buggy:

First, happy to see improvements. Some of the new features don’t explain themselves well, so documentation will be important.
I was excited to see the “log can be sorted” feature, yet I don’t see the columns and sorting options. What am I missing?
Also, I noticed in two separate sessions that the log window shows entries out of order.

I have it on Desktop and also tried to put in C:\Program Files(x86)\Winbox. I have full rights to this folders and I am the administrator and also tried to “Run as administrator”. It shows the same error (“ERROR: Could not save configuration” on start, “ERROR: could not create file” when I try to connect). Every other application runs fine on my computer.
In which folders does it try to save it’s config? Where should I check?
take a look at C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Mikrotik\Winbox
delete everything there, it will create again files
they are saved. do NOT click the save button unless you want to make a new session. current session is saved automatically.
I guess we need to make this more clear in some way.

unfortunately, we encountered some issues, so this feature got removed during the beta stage. I will talk to the developers how soon can we have it back
The reports are for the inline settings button. When you clicked the button in a previous session and reopen, the button is pressed, but some windows don’t use the inline comments. You have to depress/press it again (inline settings). And it works correctly only until you close the session.
I can always replicate the issue with wireless access list. Close winbox with inline comments selected using Exit button. Reopen the same session, go to wireless->access list. 100% every time inline comments are not used in that window.
Sorry but I was unable to repeat this. Are you using RC2?
