One of the issues I’ve had for a while, is that Winbox does not handle dual nic computers when connecting via layer 2. I must disable all irrelevant nics (including wifi) to force the discovery process to use the nic that is connected to a routerboard.
I would prefer (if it’s technically feasible) for winbox to discover via all interfaces. Perhaps this can be added to version 3.
You omit to specify on what operative system and it’s version happen.
I have Windows XP, Ubuntu 14.04 + Wine, Windows 7 all with multiple NIC (1 D-Link 10/100, 1 Realtek 10/100/1000, 1 10/100/100 integrated on motherboard and 1 Realtek WiFi), and this problem do not happen.
I have problems only starting from Windows 8 and only with netinstall: winbox work correctly but for netinstall I must disable all the other NIC first.
Windows 7 64bit.
