Winbox getting stuck at downloading desciptors (Zerotier connection)

What could be causing that Winbox won’t connect over Zerotier. In Winbox 3 it gets stuck at “downloading descriptors” and in Winbox 4 it gets stuck at “reading the index file”. Interesting thing is, that i could connect to this device over Zerotier, when it was at another ISP in another country. Also, it doesn’t respond on port 80 over Zerotier.
In LOG on device itself i can see, that “user logged in from Zerotier IP” and few seconds later “user logged out from Zerotier IP”.

Device uses Wifi Station mode as WAN and is currently connected to a hotel network with captive page.

Also interesting is, that i can connect to this device without problem, if i first connect to another Mikrotik, that has Wireguard connection to this problematic Mikrotik and apply proper routes in /ip routes. I can then normally acess problematic device with winbox.

If i make EOIP over this zerotier connection to other mikrotik, that i used as relay to connect, it works without problems.

To me it looks like MTU problem, but i’m not realy sure where i should try to change this MTU, since Zerotier uses 2800.

Any ideas are welcome but i must aply them with caution since problematic device is 1500 KM away.

Same problem, it used to work, but I recently upgraded to 7.17 or 7.18 and now none of my zerotier stuff works. No changes.

Me too on this very same issue. Anyone find a solution?

I lowered MTU on Zerotier connection and it started working.

Would you be so kind as to share how you achieved lowering the MTU? I see the fields are not editable on the zt interfaces on winbox. Did you need to do it on the zerotier server side using the API?

Sorry, lost track of topic. You probably already solved it by now.

MTU is set on server side.
