I had this working at one time I think but for some reason after reloading my iMac I can only launch one instance of winbox, this is very annoying because I usually have 3 or 4 opened at a time. My workaround is to duplicate and rename the files winbox1.exe winbox2.exe etc.. Problem is saved login info gets saved to each winbox file. Is there any workarounds to running more than one instance of winbox.exe at the same time with crossover?
It works great function wise, but can you open more than one winbox.exe at the same time without multiple copies of the file renamed or duplicate files in difference directories? Maybe I am just weird but I hardly ever just have one instance of the program running. I would gladly use free if that’s the case, does dude also run in darwine good?
I use winbox on OS X via winebottler to have a stand alone app (so it is, more or less, wine). One instance only unless you copy the standalone around.
I’ve kinda resigned myself to the irony of having to have a Windows VM on my private machines to get RouterOS network administration work done, while having a *nix VM on all the Windows machines at work.
That’s what I meant, using the free Wine program instead of Crossover, you can open multiple instances of Winbox and they all work, and passwords load fine, all from the same loader file.
