Wireguard peer responder clarification

Why would the server keep trying to contact the peer client if its gone. There may be some attempt to establish communications to pass on lets say a new WANIP in a the normal wireguard but in BTH, the controlling entity is wireguard cloud relay. If both sides are not talking to the relay the connection is broken. The server should not initiate any traffic.

I am not saying your wrong, I just dont see any other logic.

Once I set responder=no to one of my peers, (It is an iPhone , connect to my AX3 sometime), the log of AX3 will say:

 2024-11-05 16:28:36 wireguard,info wg3: [ZhY] xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxw=: Handshake for peer did not complete after 20 attempts, giving up

and then set reponder=yes to it , the message dispeared .

According to offical documents , I think this roaming iPhone always “be connection initiator”, so it should be mark as a responder .
