I am setting up a WIreless Wire Cube Pro building-to building bridge (about 50 ft). During initial testing I have to work without an Internet connection, so I’ve set up the following:
RPi5---POE Switch---Cube60Pro-ac-----------------(50')---------------Cube60Pro-ac---POE Switch------WIndows laptop
192.168.88.2 192.168.88.3
The Rpi5 and laptop are connected to the same WiFi network (192.168.0.0/23) so they can talk to each other and have Internet access.
When I initially plugged things in, everything “just worked”. The Cube60Pro devices were forwarding traffic and both devices were reachable in winbox from either end.
The “getting started” instruction said to upgrade RouterOS, which I did. After the upgrade the two devices no longer talk to each other. The log on both devices contains a message about “Missing wireless driver package” (I would copy/paste the log messages, but the winbox interface doesn’t seem to allow copying from the log window).
I installed the wireless-7.15.3-arm64.npk and restarted the devices, but they still won’t talk to each other. Each device is reachable in winbox to the device directly connected to the same switch, but not across the bridge.
I’m assuming the upgrade blew away the preconfiguration that came with the devices.
How do I re-establish the initial paired configuration?
