I have found many long posts about what can cause “@wlan1: lost connection, unicast key exchange timeout” but no definitive solution.
Possible solutions were setting encryption to TKIP, checking if the password für the wifi is correct, avoiding special characters in the password.
My use case: travel router, connect list with 2 hotspots provided by one of two xiaomi mobile phones
What happend out of the box: the map connects sometimes to the hotspot of the phone, but after about 5 seconds the connection breaks up. Whe I tried to connect to mikrotik ap oder an older zyxel, everything worked. No chance with the mobile phone hotspots.
Solution: with setting the map to use only the “20/40mhz Ce” band, the error disappears and the connection is stable.
