Storage Dude backup in sata SSD Drive

Sun Nov 05, 2023 4:10 pm

Hi community.
A few weeks I tried to made a script or founded the way to save Dude backup in Sata SSD drive to router of my work, but, results isn't satisfactory. The model of this device is: RB1100AHx4 Dude Edition in the specifications this have a SSD Drive of 60GB as extended storage and router recognizeded the drive. Looking information about router, in the brochure says the drive is for using a Dude database, proxy cache or any other storage intensive feature. So I have two questions, It's possible storage the backup in the SSD drive? and if is possible, How can move the backup to SSD drive?
Thanks for look this issue and I hope your help me.

Regards! :D

If SSD is accessible as the filesystem, you should be able to use Dude v6 - Backup locally.

But for better disaster recovery strategy we also should consider Dude v6 - Backup to FTP.

Do you use that SSD to store Dude database?

Installation - Server side
by default all The Dude data is stored on system disk, if you wish to change it's location the use this command:
/dude set data-directory=(new_db_path)
