2.4Ghz 3x3 or 4x4 MIMO solution?

Hi, I’m interested in municipality wireless networks and want to know if there is a Mikrotik solution for doing 2.4Ghz 3x3 or 4x4 mimo APs . I know there is netmetal 3x3 but it’s only 5Ghz.

thanks

You can use this card RB11e-2Hnd x2

in combination With RB953 using 2 card wifi cards and it will have total 4x4 streams

It should be quit effective.

using 2 card wifi cards

Does MIMO works that way?
If yes, then how to configure them to appear as a single interface with four chains?

You cannot have one 4xmimo with two cards as they cannot communicate to each other so fast.

That’s what I was thinking about :slight_smile:

Then, back to the topic - is there any 3x3 MIMO 2.4 GHz card that works with mikrotik?

“This is the first release to include support for 802.11ac, using the QCA9880/9882 rev2 (-BR4A) wireless chipsets.”

Mikrotik sell cards with AR9580 [if that is indeed what this card is - page says AR9590 as well] so I would be suprised if RouterOS didn’t support it.
