I’m new to this whole thing so keep that in mind as you read along.
I a QRT 5 ac set up at each point, the distance is around 4.2km and the signal strength hovers around -59 and -63 depending on the type of protocol chosen and channel width and so on. I’ve tried 802.11 and it’s slightly less stable than nstreme (weaker signal and speed unstable), and NV2 doesn’t connect most of the time.
I have a 200mbps connection at point A that I’m trying to send to point B. The highest I could get was around 55mbps when the signal is at -59, and barely 25mbps when it’s just slightly higher around -63.
Here are a bunch of images of my settings, please let me know what I could do to improve the throughput, and what other settings you’d like to see:
Hello,
1- Execute an scan and post the result (Scan, not freq. usage).
2- Try to select an country to show another possible frequency
3- If you do not have much channel clear is very hard to use an width of 80MHz.
4- Post nstreme configuration into bridge QRT (not station)
Do you mean I should increase the Antenna Gain setting in here (http://imgur.com/jZqebO1)? Wouldn’t that harm the device?
As for country, I’ve tried many different contries with no luck. Nothing seems to improve the signal, sometimes it gets worse.
As for LoS, I have a fairly good one, I have both devices on top of two houses on a 6 meter pole with no high buildings between the two locations.
You think tinkering with the alignment might help? Because they are already aligned in the general direction of each other, maybe I haven’t tried too hard to align them as well as I should’ve.
select your Country, if you do not, it is possible that you use a Channel what is illegal in your Country!
Put in Antenna gain, 24 for QRT, this will reduce transmit power, and The Signal Quality will get better, to much Power is not good at all, in The Most Cases you interfer yourself!
reallign The Antennas to The Maximum!
if this is done we will search The best Channel for you!
