4G LTE USB Modem Only Works Once Per Boot

I’m using a Huawei E3372 USB modem with my HAP AC2 on the latest version 7 beta.

I find that if the USB stick is removed and plugged back in, I need to reboot the router before it appears in the USB section of System → Resources. I’ve tried the USB Power Reset and it does not make a difference.

Hi, I am also using hAP ac^2 7.1b2, but with 3272 (hilink). After several days of AP’s uptime, PCs show that wifi does not have internet.
I tried to turn off/on LTE interface - it does not help.
After USB power reset, LTE interface disappears and only reboot restores it.
So far it is not clear what is causing it

Just tried it with my E3372h-320 (connected to a CCR1036-8G-2S+ running 7.1b1). Both unplugging it and a power reset work for me; the stick comes back afterwards.

We are at Beta 5, but issue is still not fixed!
Whether it is modem E3272 or android phone - it only works once per boot on hAP ac^2

And more technical… what is after boot ?

dhcp-client not work ?
lte1 exist ?
resources > usb still detect modem ?

Anyone give deatils what happends when you cannot use internet ?
You know that logs are for some purpose ?
This topic is… reboot fix and we not give any info.

Apart from inspecting logs etc. consider hardware issues too.
LTE USB sticks are known for USB power issues, which is why e.g. those https://www.olimex.com/Products/USB-Modules/USB-CAP/ exists. This solved some “weird” behaviour of USB LTE sticks for me in the past.

7 is beta, try 6.48.2

hAP ac² USB support max 1A (of peak?) or 5W (5V*1A)

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1336636/Huawei-E3372.html?page=10
Huawei E3372 USB want 2,5W to work (500mV@5A) (3,5W of peak???)
The 3.5W max include power used from SIM?

3,5W > 5W

Someone lie, if the problem is the power…
