The confusing part is that winbox 4.4 version check shows the previous release and says "New version available" how can it be new if its a full dot point version ahead
Logic would dictate current version > channel release version = no upgrade available
A version 7.21.6 would have been the right move, especially given the pressure from CVEs. For instance, I didn't update immediately because I wanted to wait a few days to see what might break due to such a major change. A fix arrived quickly, and now there’s another new version due to further CVEs. So here I am, waiting again—while the CVEs remain unpatched on my router...

On my HAP AC2s, after upgrading to 7.23.6, the connection time is taking 5 minutes. Damn, it feels like the AI is writing part of the code and no one's testing anything.
By the way. I have a HAP AX S, and the WiFi is working more or less reliably on the latest beta version. But on the long-term or stable versions, there are constant problems.
This is insane.
The effort surely wouldn't be that huge, they did the same thing for 6.49 ... I'm more inclined towards thinking they were already in mental path towards 7.23 as LTS and simply used the first opportunity to do that. They commonly don't consider differences between the two LTS versions too much. Change log is ultimate proof: change log for the newly-promoted version contains differences from previous version in same series (e.g. 7.23.5 LTS vs. 7.23.4 stable), not versus previous LTS (e.g. 7.23.5 LTS vs. 7.21.5 LTS).
