If you experience version related issues, then please send supout file from your router to support@mikrotik.com. The file must be generated while a router is not working as suspected or after some problem has appeared on the device

Please keep this forum topic strictly related to this particular RouterOS release.

Will you finally explain this? Array can't be more or less than other array. They can only be equal or not equal.

I would like to see a documentation on this as well. But there are other languages where you can do such a comparison. One approach I know is: compare first item of A with first item of B, second item of A with second item of B, and so on. It may be even what Mikrotik has implemented.

Seems like this was fixed: V7.24beta [development] is released! - #155 by CGGXANNX

Is there any documentation about limitations and process for configuration? Right now the docs are all "VRF no support".

Thanks. Though, for me such kind of comparison looks strange.

Especially thing like that:

[admin@MyIdentity] > :put ({"a";"b";"c"} > {"A";"b";"c"})
true

https://en.cppreference.com/cpp/language/ascii

A => 65
a => 97

Yes. And sometimes it can be useful for multi-column sorting (but I doubt sorting is really needed in our RouterOS scripts). Or maybe date comparison ({2026; 7; 2} vs {2024; 12; 31} if we don't want to first convert the components to timestamp.

And apparently it can be used as trick to compare text order:

(it also looks like <= and >= are not supported to compare arrays).

And can be abused to do multiple comparisons without using && (but probably bad for performance, because memory needs to be allocated each time):slight_smile:

Yes, I understand the logic, just said it's kind of weird comparison.

l3hw - allow VLAN tagged traffic inside VXLAN tunnel;

Does this mean that QinQ VLAN traffic can finally be transported in VXLAN (in L3HW)???

The array compare was required for this:

  • console - added "order-by" parameter to "print" command, allowing sorting by up to three arguments in ascending or descending order;

Some counters are array type, e.g. Ethernet stats. If you want to "order-by" these counters, you need to have an array compare functionality.

Just an example, you can print Ethernet stats and sort them by most packets received on CPU (driver-rx-packet) in descending order.

This was the primary motivation/use-case for the array compare functionality.

The same limitations as in main table apply, and fasttrack/NAT/vxlan offload is limited only to main table.

There are no special configuration steps required. If you have routes in VRF, and out-interface is L3HW capable (ethernet, bond, bridge, VLAN) the switch will route the packet.

Thanks for the docs reminder, it will get updated soon.

NetInstall package sounds great, but please add an option to install a branding package.

Yes, I believe so.

But just like non-vxlan bridge, it only works with outer tag, you cannot modify or filter by the inner tag. And untagged/tagged traffic over VXLAN in L3HW at the same time is not supported.

Cool!

  • Will the VRF info eat into available TCAM slots?
  • Is the number of VRFs limited lower than the global system limit of 1024?
  • Will all routing tables with FIB enabled get offloaded, or just VRFs?

I'm still observing rogue "/app" entries in my export (even though I've never touched App feature) along with unwanted phantom/increased flash/nand writes after running /exporton my RB5009. Can you still confirm same?

Very sad, even after this has been reported multiple times, weeks ago...

Yes, I have them too. It's probably remnants from the incremental upgrades through the buggy versions. Since 7.23beta3 you can run /app reset ... on them once (*) and the entries will be gone for good from export (even /export show-sensitive). But running /app reset ... on the entries will cause some folders to be created under app on the file system. But those folders can also be manually deleted (and will not come back).

Afterwards the upgrade from 7.23beta3 to 7.24rc1 does not bring the export entries back.

A device upgrading from 7.23.1 to 7.24rc1 have a few bogus entries, but /app reset ... works for removing them too.

If I perform a "Reset Configuration" on a device with 7.24rc1 & container package installed, then after the reset /export show-sensitive shows nothing for /app.

Which means the bug is fixed, but RouterOS cannot correct existing configurations, you'll have to clean the old /app entries yourself.

(*) If you are lazy, instead of a dozen individual /app reset ... commands, you can do a

/app reset [find]

once, but be prepare to see a lot of stuff in the log, and plenty of subfolders created on the storage under app (that you can delete aftewards).

Thanks for this, indeed that rids me of the /app entries being exported erroneously!

However, I'm still seeing increased flash/nand/disk writes for unknown reason, on the order of several hundred sectors if I wait several minutes between executing /export several times.

I tracked my "normal" write behavior on this RB5009 for the past month or so on 7.23.1, it averaged out to around 200 sector writes per day, total.

I'm confused as to why /export would need to write anything, ever, unless I tell it to dump to a file...

Is there any manual on how to use the new /interface/wifi/network menu?

I am having an issue with the MLO configuration via CAPsMAN (MLO works great in standalone configuration on the hAP be lite). When I try to connect a Wi-Fi 7 device to the MLD interface, it always gets stuck on the "Obtaining IP address..." step.

Could the new Network menu help with this issue?

Never mind, found the issue. There was no MLD Datapath on the CAP (hAP be lite), but now MLO is fully working with CAPsMAN.
