Good morning everyone, I hope to write in the right place.
I purchased a 5g mikrotik ATLGM router that I use with sim wind unfortunately never connects to 5G giving me error "lte1 mbim: register state: denied, gsm operator: 22288, WINDTRE, nwe: missing or unknown APN" can anyone help me? let me start by saying that the SIM works correctly and in the same place it worked very well with the zyxell antenna. The APN is correct internet.it jast checked with the operatore WIND/3.
Your settings seem correct, unless you have some strange white space characters, the APN seems the right one, and the Use Network APN unchecked is the same as "use-network-apn=no", I would still check the command line, open terminal and in it type:
/interface lte apn export [ENTER]
.
Try rebooting the router, first, to make sure that the setting has "taken", there is not much else to try.
Which RouterOS version are you running?
I presume that the same SIM has been already tested on a phone or other device and it works.
Windtre is reknown for having strange settings, but from what you report the issue seems to be on the Mikrotik side.
Can you try - temporarily - with a SIM from another ISP?
Try also removing the APN and see what happens with network APN checked, but I doubt it will work.
I don’t remember any related changes in 7.20, but the possibility of a new bug introduced in a recent version exists, you can try downgrading to 7.17 and see what happens, then try a couple iontermediate releases.
I seem to remember that (old) Wind SIMs used internet.wind as APN, maybe yours is one of those?
I have started receiving the same error just after the modem upgrade from RG520FEUEAR03A04M4GX_01.300.01.300 to RG520FEUEAR03A05M4GX_01.300.01.300
lte1 mbim: packet service: detached data class: 0, nwe: missing or unknown APN
lte1 mbim: register state: denied, gsm operator: 23410, O2 - UK (giffgaff), nwe: missing or unknown APN
The issues started appearing straight after the modem completed the fw upgrade. It happens only with this APN; I suspect because it was active by the time of the upgrade.
Following the upgrade, the APN carries on works however the connection speed drooped as the modem started switching to cells with poor RSRP, SINR & RSSI metrics; before it was locking in to the stronger cell tower (see image below)
I have a feeling the LTE fw upgrade wasn’t clean
I am looking for a way to a) either reflush the latest or b) go back to RG520FEUEAR03A04M4GX_01.300.01.300, but I haven’t figured this out yet.
lte1 mbim: packet service: detached data class: 0, nwe: missing or unknown APN
lte1 mbim: register state: denied, gsm operator: 22288, WINDTRE, nwe: missing or unknown APN
lte1 mbim: >>> E #28 - conn_ext: network params, error: NO_DEVICE_SUPPORT
I have the same errors in the log, but the LTE works the APN is correct. The errors appeared randomly few days ago. I think it's just Windtre being Windtre, nothing we can do about it
