Thanks, I wonder what stopped Mikrotik from saying the same...
It would only have been fair to post an update in this "trending" topic, especially since the delivery date has already been postponed several times.
Maybe they are still trying to rectify this in the form of firmware upgrade until someone throw a towel and said recall everything they are silent because it's a deterrent in their name
What kind of mistake is it when the dates are moved by a week, two, a month and so on? That's what I'm supposed to say, this and that happened, I have to fix this and that, we'll try to fix it as soon as possible, but due to the error, don't expect a deadline sooner than - and some real date? Why is it good to scroll by weeks?
I think that transparency and reliable statements about delays are better for the brand, and potentially help increasing the trust even in the case of a mistake.
For me, it is not about making no mistakes. But very much is about how mistakes are being handled.
Is that delay confirmed by getic or other dsitributors or perhaps just because they have lots of orders to fill?
I totally agree with you. It would look a lot better for Mikrotik if they announced the potential recall and explain what happened.
But as always, they decided to stay silent. I'm not blaming any of the Mikrotik stuff here as they were probably instructed to stay silent.
Hey @normis, can you leak us any info based on what the distributor shared?
Is it true or not that a glitch crept in during the device's design phase?
Will Mikrotik be able to fix the devices that have already been manufactured?
Anything at all?
P.S. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be able to deliver the FIX at a low cost.
Distributors enter all kinds of random information in their shopping systems when they don't know exact date of arrival. Those "Expected arrival" numbers in this thread are completely random. First units were already sent out last week. Of couse is the demand is high, this will not satisfy all preorders, but more batches will come next. Units are going out in smaller numbers, but they are already sent out.
Much appreciated @normis! Just to confirm, they'll be heading out to customers within the next few weeks or months?
@normis Can you tell us as well the reason behind the delays?
Well that's nothing Mikrotik can answer ![]()
That's up to the shipping companies and the Reseller.
If Mikrotik has sent them last week i guess we can expect them to arrive at the resellers next week.
Then we gotta add X Days for them being delivered to the customers
P.s. getic (latvian reseller) has already updated the delivery window:
well we gotta be fair. Thats on baltic networks ^^
Once upon a time a piece of paper like that would have had a date and/or a reference to the Operating System version.
It would also have had a sentence to the effect of "We apologize for the inconveniences".
I hate it when it shows how old I am ...
In the MikroTik universe, shipping with the information written on a piece of paper is already considered very polite and humble. Usually you have to find out the hard way. ![]()
You mean August 14, 2025?
Internet explorer vibes?
Anyway, I've been contacted by distributor and as first in queue they will send me tomorrow 2pcs to test, so I will write more
