As rextended hinted, the components that usually fail are the two large capacitors on the PSU.

There are also reports that it is a good idea to replace C1442/C1443 on the board:

Or you can replace the original PSU with a laptop/monitor external brick. 24V 4 or 5 A are common and cheap enough.
