While checking a post of mine today (made before the board transition) I found out that for whatever reason some of the formatting (striken text) wasn’t retained, making it not only not understandable, also possibly misleading.

The issue is that it seems I cannot edit it (anymore) so I cannot correct it.

Maybe there is some timeout mechanism that makes posts read only after some time has passed?

Recheck now please. There was separate edit timeouts for various trust level users. Now both should be without time restrictions.
