Ring Camera dropping out

Hi all, wonder if you can help . I have an internet solution at my static caravan provided by Camping Connect. Their preferred router in the caravan is the MikroTik hAP ax S WiFi 6 Access Point.

It seems to work fine, provides POE to the Cambium antenna etc and connects via ethernet to my TV , Sonos etc.

The one problem I have ( and the tech team a Camping Connect are also trying to resolve this ) is that intermittently my ring camera will lose connection via the wifi and then come back a while later. There is no specific time it does this, just every other day or so. The only repeatable aspect is that it always seems to take about 2 hours to reconnect. When it does drop out, I can see via other devices ( my hive and Switchbot ) that the router is still online.

Anyone got experience of this ?

Another point which might or might not be relatated. The green lights on the front of the box...Power, 2, and 5. Both the power and the 2 lights are permanently on, the 5 light is flashing once every 2 seconds and I cant seem to get a 5Ghz wifi connection ?

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

They need to work together with Mikrotik support as close they can. This looks to me like another wifi driver issue rather than a config thing.

/export

Hi , what does that mean ?

This means showing the device configuration so we can rule out any configuration errors.
From the terminal, run the /export command, then copy everything to the forum,
but oce pasted on forum select the text and press </> button, otherwise it will get confusing.

Remove serial number and any visible passwords or personal information,
such as email and username, that may be present for some reason.

Ahh thanks . I cant do this , Camping Connect have the admin control ...im just the user . I will ask them

So why are you bothering with it?

So the wrong person is asking. It's like you're feeling sick, but you send someone else to the doctor to check you out.

Please ask the Camping Connect to ask here on the forum, if they haven't already.

To get the usual "hire a consultant" response?

No, Camping Connect apparently ships a device in a commercial setup. They should have the confidence and competence to troubleshoot themselves.

:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

I feel you pain. help should be given at every level regardless. It's a forum!

Sure. Check for "Ring camera" updates. Contact Ring camera support for assistance.

Camping Connect are going through their own fault diag process, however being an ex techy myself I am trying to approach this from all angles. I can across this forum and asked the question . It could have been the case that someone on here had seen issues with Ring cameras before and knew a particular setting to change.

I apologise if I have bothered you ...

rextended is Italian. Getting upset is part of their personality - but they usually don't mean it in a bad way

It seems a bit excessive to me... Abrupt yes, but "Getting upset" no...

I wuld say: loud.

Yep, it's typical, like having moustaches and eating spaghettis in restaurants with red/white checkered tablecloths, possibly while someone is singing accompanied by a mandolin.

I would have hoped we were past 1960's stereotypes ...

So , getting back to the matter in hand

Any ideas on the Ring Camera problem ?

Think that it's hard to diagnose unknown to most of us device connected to unknown configuration of MT device, both with unknown software versions.

Come on, don't get bothered...
