ROS 6.11 ETA

Dear Mikrotik

What is your ETA of next release? I am really struggling keeping CRS and CCR in production.

Many thanks.

Please tell me what problems you have, so we can check if any progress has been made in solving them, and if not, we may need more information from you, so we can fix them. Have you contacted support with supout.rif file and problem description?

normis -

this does not answer my question. Would you please let us know ETA of next release please.

Many thanks.

Versions are released when all bugs are fixed. So what about my question?

ETA

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_time_of_arrival

Normis - You do already know my basic bugs with crs and ccr - so not delay in publish.

Many thanks.

MikroTik works without such deadlines, or even approximate times. We release versions when all known bugs are fixed.

We have NO ETA

Please tell me your ticket numbers, so I can check the status of these issues.

Sorry to jump in here, but wow… way to be totally non-helpful when a Mikrotik staff is offering help.

You mentioned you have bugs, but then refuse to say anything about them.
If you have bugs, contact support with them.

Ideally, also post here with your bugs, so we all know about them:

thanks for the clarification regarding ETA.

A lot of new version is released at friday. We will see how it will be today

known is the keyword here. unconfirmed complaints in the forum are not bugs. if you want your bug to be fixed, email instructions how to repeat with supout.rif files to support.

Normis, sorry, but we all know there are known bugs that have been around for a long time…

Example - L2TP server wrong IP bug (see the Known Issues Topic) - has been around since v5, and even with new PPP package its still there.
There is a support ticket, and exact reproduction method shown as well.

I am not criticizing, just saying that admitting there are some long standing bugs is not wrong, each software has those, just as long as they are being worked on.
