SFP+ stick not working after upgrading to RouterOS v7.8 on RB5009UPr+S+

Hello,

After upgrading to routerOS v7.8 my sfp stick doesn’t work anymore. Not recognized at all. Before it was working fine with Autonegotiation on

Same issue in http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/v7-8-stable-is-released/164757/1 post.

Here are more details:

Hardware: RB5009UPr+S+
sfp+ stick: 6COM 6c-SFP-10G-T SFP+ 10G RJ45
Now i’m using S-RJ01 stick as backup with performance limited to 1G.
I’ve ordered S+RJ01 and is on the way.

Thanks for your help.

The same has happened to me in my 5009.
Was running ok for a year, but after upgrading to 7.9 i have not even been able to recover the functionality of the SFP+ by now downgrading to 7.7, and after having passed to 7.10beta.

The SFP appears as no link, and for example, the dhcp client that makes use of it marks the SFP+ as stopped.

Any ideas ?.
It’s like that device was marked inoperative now…

Tks!

Forgot to mention, this got fixed asap in the next release. Thanks.

I know you are the author of the post  , but it wasn’t fixed for everyone. As you can see here http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/routeros-v7-bug-on-ros6-working-unrecognized-10gb-sfp-dac-direct-attach-cable-copper-pigtail/176197/4 it still bugs for another users and the only way is to downgrade to version 6.
