FWIW my problem isn’t fixed in v7.1rc7 either:
/system/device-mode/update socks=no mode=enterprise
Doesn’t work to remove SOCKS. 
But guessing Mikrotik wouldn’t allow hiding a package that was going to be dropped. You’ll note they do say:
But that’s crushing to this grinch’s hope that Mikrotik would drop support for SOCKS (and proxy) in v7. At least folks can eventually hide these things with the new “device-mode” in v7.1rc7.
