Good night, I noticed something strange that apparently with some update in ros7.21, WiFi access points in the network list on routers began to be displayed as Passpoint. What does this mean? And is it good? Someone says that this is the hotspot mode enabled on the router, but I haven't turned on or changed anything in this regard.
I tried to click on HotSpot 2.0 but not set checkbox in interworking and Passpoint gone but in default seems its enabled but why
Support responded that this is a bug in Winbox. It does not pose a problem.
Hey! Just adding here that for me this did pose problems. The majority of my devices connected with no problem but auto-connection did not work on my Apple devices, and even, for some reason, my iPhone did not join whatsoever, when I tried to connect it just hang whenever I filled the password… Explicitly disabling hotspot 2.0 in the interworking tab as @bunkerfox mentioned did the trick instantly. Thank you all for posting, it saved me hours of painful troubleshooting!
This is not true, i have now had several laptops who couldnt connect to this network until i updated wifi driver, only change was that RouterOS was updated it worked before with old driver.
More specific one of them was RTL8821CE, cant remember others now.
