Does this update solve the out of space problem on wAP ac?
Does it worth to transport to the clients place and netinstall?
Any details on the issues here?

This is going to be a very popular change. Hap ac2 went from 224 KiB free to 412 KiB. It may not sound like much but almost doubled free space.
it is only matter of time when we throw out AC2. Doubling the (almost) zero space is not a big compliment

A useful feature. I tried to install wifi-qcom-ac
on Chateau LTE 12. It was successful, but later it failed with out of disk memory, “can’t store configuration” error. Anway, 16MB is too low for this package. Also I noticed super-weak signal levels with this package. So I reverted back to wireless
. Anyway, this feature is good because there are more space now for certificates and lists.
How is the WiFi with 7.19.3? … specifically Capsman (WiFi) with cAPax (wifi-qcom) … there were some ‘issues’ at the beginning with 7.19.x, correct?
I think the connection issues depends on your individual config and the kind of devices.
I personally use the CAPsMAN AX since the early beginning of AX-devices and had since than no issues with the connections.
Regarding your question, there are no special problems with ROS 7.19.x I’m aware of…are there?
i have moved 100+ AC devices to wifi-qcom-ac, not once i have seen “super weak signal levels”. Your client most likely connected to some other AP. HW is the same, signal levels are the same, there might be some funny things with clients when you move to WPA3 and such settings, but not signal levels.
About “Can’t store configuration” what are you doing with the disk, if you managed to get 400kiB used in less than few hours? or is that error from before 7.19.3 ?
Hmm, where do you live? If more than 1000 km from me then probably, according to signal level, I connected to one of your APs.

Before 7.19.3 it is not possible to install the new driver at all due to lack of space.
At last I can use the wifi-qcom-ac package on my AC². To make it perfect, I would just like them to remove more unnecessary drivers from the package.
I also have container package installed on Chateau LTE12 and today there are 136KiB free on 7.19.3. Something is eating up the space because yesterday I had 156KiB free.
28KiB is right before echo: system, error, critical could not save configuration changes, not enough storage space available.

Can confirm - hAP-ac2 as CAP with wifi-qcom-ac was 180kB free space on 7.19.2. Is now 428 kB after 7.19.3!
Unfortunately this is normal - the new qcom-ac drivers display signal strength differently than the legacy “wireless” drivers. Wireless driver package shows much better signal strength. Data rates and everything is thankfully fine, so I see a client on the controller with a signal of -75 dBm, but still has 400 / 400 Mbps rates (cAP ac, 5 GHz, 40 MHz BW)
It seems, there is not just a display issue. Instantly it shows good results, with proper signal and speed, but after some short time / config change I get bad signal and devices are not connected there anymore (only if bring it right to the box).
FWIW, /ip/smb server is still horribly slow. And it consumes 50% of one core on my AX^3 during the transfer.
Has anyone noticed how slow version 7.19 is? Particularly loading addresses in the address-list. For example, I have roughly 60k addresses in the address-list. In versions 7.16 (as far back as I can remember) thru 7.18.2, deleting & adding 45k dynamic addresses would be complete within 20 minutes. Versions 7.19.2 & 7.19.3 (didn’t try others), it takes 45 minutes.
Netinstalled version 7.19.2. Upgraded to 7.19.3
See attached photo that it takes 4 minutes to delete & add 20 addresses
Referencing a Mikrotik hEX. RB5009 only increased about a minute or so for the same address-lists. But still, it did increase as well.
