Hello Mikrotik,
Multicast package is still missing from v7.1rc1, I cannot find any option to enable igmp proxying.
Is this feature considered obsolete or still due for final release ?
Thanks,
There is no multicast package anymore. PIM SM is available in the routing menu, and igmp proxy is not implemented at this moment. Will be available in the next RC release.
Thank you.
Looking forward to next RC update.
Hi, i bought a Mikrotik CCR2004 Router, and i need the IGMP-Proxy for MegentaTV in Germany, and now you say, that the IGMP-Proxy isn’t available in ROS 7 which i can’t downgrade to Version 6 on that Device??? So i’ve bought an expensive Device which hasn’t features that “old” Devices like CCR1009 had? Sorry, but that isn’t acceptable for me! What to do now???
Wait for RC2, that one should have this functionality and should be available soon
I unterstand that it will be available in RC2, but it’s not acceptable to sell Devices that hasn’t one of the Main Functions that are needed in Germany for MagentaTV. The ROS Version 7 is soo long in development, so i think they had enouph time to Release the Version 7 before they sell new Devices that can’t use a ROS Version lower than Version 7.
It’s the same with WiFi 6, every Vendor has WiFi 6 Devices in Market, but every Question here in the Forum about WiFi 6 has been unanswered from Mikrotik?!?!?!
True, but thats the way MikroTik works, unfortunately.
Yes, unfortunately! (I’am very interested so see if a get any answer from Mikrotik at all) ![]()
Implemented in RC2.
Unfortunately :

Enabling igmp-proxy brings kernel alert on reboot, though igmp proxy seems functional with no other side effects.
In RC2 It is possible to get kernel crash on reboot with enabled igmp-proxy and existing multicast routes, other than that igmp-proxy should work.
Does anyone use IGMP proxy on ROS 7?
I really want to test, but my wife doesn’t want to give me a change window ![]()
Ok, I got a change window and upgraded my IPTV router (RB750Gr3) to 7.1rc6.
It works great ![]()
IGMP proxy is working as expected.
